The MR9600-595 is the 595 nm wavelength filter for the Accuris MR9600 SmartReader 96 — the standard Bradford / Coomassie Brilliant Blue protein-assay endpoint wavelength. The Bradford assay is one of the most-common colorimetric protein quantification methods (sister to BCA at 562 nm); essentially every commercial Bradford / Coomassie protein-assay kit specifies 595 nm endpoint readout.

The Bradford assay relies on Coomassie Brilliant Blue G-250 dye binding to protein in acidic solution, shifting the dye's absorbance maximum from 465 nm (free dye) to 595 nm (protein-bound dye). The 595 nm absorbance scales with protein concentration over a typical dynamic range of 1–25 µg / well (microplate format) or 25–1,400 µg/mL (cuvette format). Compared to BCA (MR9600-562):
