Shipping & Delivery

How we ship capital equipment and accessories — freight options, parcel carriers, lead times, and what to expect when your order arrives.

Two Shipping Categories

Legacy Lab Supplies ships thousands of products across two distinct categories. The shipping method is determined by the product type — not by customer preference — to ensure safe, reliable delivery of sensitive laboratory equipment.

Type A

Capital Equipment

Ultra-low temperature freezers, ovens, autoclaves, centrifuges, and other high-value laboratory instruments. These products require specialized handling and climate-controlled transportation.

  • Shipping Method: Freight / LTL (Less Than Truckload) / White-Glove delivery
  • Carriers: Professional freight carriers with liftgate and inside delivery options
  • Typical Lead Time: 2–10 weeks depending on manufacturer and product availability
  • White-Glove: Available for installation-critical equipment (uncrating, placement, debris removal)
Type B

Accessories, Parts & Consumables

Replacement parts, filters, shelves, racks, probes, and consumable supplies. These products ship via standard parcel carriers.

  • Shipping Method: UPS or FedEx ground/express parcel
  • Typical Lead Time: 3–10 business days depending on stock availability
  • Tracking: Provided via email upon shipment

Mixed Orders: If your order contains both capital equipment and accessories/parts, they will ship as two separate shipments using the appropriate carrier for each product type. You will receive separate tracking information for each shipment.

Typical Lead Times

Product TypeIn-StockMade to Order
Capital Equipment (Type A)2–4 weeks6–10 weeks
Accessories & Parts (Type B)3–5 business days5–10 business days

Lead times are estimates and confirmed at the time of quote. Some manufacturers produce equipment to order and do not maintain inventory — your sales representative will confirm availability and production timelines.

Order Tracking

Tracking information is provided via email once your order ships. For freight shipments, you will receive a Bill of Lading (BOL) number and carrier contact information. For parcel shipments, you will receive a standard UPS or FedEx tracking number.

If you need an update on your order status before it ships, contact our operations team at operations@legacylabsupplies.com or call us directly.

Receiving Tips

  • 1Inspect on arrival. Check all packaging for visible damage before signing the delivery receipt.
  • 2Note damage on the BOL. If you see any exterior damage, note it on the Bill of Lading before signing. Take photos.
  • 3Report concealed damage within 48 hours. If you discover damage after unpacking, contact us immediately. See our Returns & Exchanges guide.
  • 4Keep all packaging. Retain original packaging until equipment is inspected and operational — you may need it for a freight claim.
  • 5Verify contents. Check all items against your packing slip. Report any discrepancies within 48 hours.
