Thermal Processing

We carry Yamato Scientific laboratory ovens including gravity convection, forced convection (mechanical), programmable, vacuum, and clean room models. Capacities range from 27 liters (benchtop) to over 500 liters (floor-standing). Temperature ranges up to 360°C for standard models and 510°C for high-temperature models.

Gravity convection ovens rely on natural hot air rising for circulation, making them ideal for applications where airflow disruption is a concern (powders, lightweight samples). Forced convection ovens use a fan to circulate air, providing more uniform temperature distribution and faster heat-up times — better for drying, curing, and sterilization.

Yamato muffle furnaces available from Legacy Lab Supplies reach up to 1200°C. They are used for ashing, heat treatment, ceramics processing, and materials testing. Models are available with programmable controllers for multi-step ramp and soak profiles.

Autoclaves use pressurized steam (typically 121°C at 15 PSI) to sterilize laboratory equipment, media, glassware, and biohazardous waste. Yamato Scientific autoclaves available from Legacy Lab Supplies range from 32L to 80L+ capacity with fully automatic cycle control.
