The MR9600-380 is the 380 nm wavelength filter for the Accuris MR9600 SmartReader 96, single-wavelength interference filter at 380 nm UV wavelength. Common workflow applications: some calcium-indicator absorbance ratios (Fura-2 ratio at 340/380 nm), pterin / folate biosynthesis pathway intermediates, and some specialty protein-assay workflows.

The 380 nm wavelength is one half of the Fura-2 calcium-imaging absorbance ratio workflow. Fura-2 absorbance shifts from 340 nm (calcium-bound) to 380 nm (calcium-free), and the 340/380 nm absorbance ratio quantifies cytosolic calcium concentration. Labs running Fura-2-based calcium workflows on the MR9600 platform need both the MR9600-340 (340 nm) and MR9600-380 (this SKU, 380 nm) filters paired for the ratio measurement.
