The MR9600-562 is the 562 nm wavelength filter for the Accuris MR9600 SmartReader 96 — the standard BCA (bicinchoninic acid) protein-assay endpoint wavelength. Common Application — BCA Protein Assay

The BCA assay relies on Cu²⁺ reduction to Cu⁺ by peptide bonds in the protein sample, followed by Cu⁺ chelation by bicinchoninic acid producing a purple-blue chromophore with λ_max at 562 nm. The 562 nm absorbance is proportional to protein concentration (linear over a wide dynamic range, typically 20–2,000 µg/mL with the standard reagent kit).
