The PR1000-1000 is the mid pack-size of the Accuris standard Taq DNA Polymerase family — 1,000 units of recombinant Taq DNA Polymerase at 5 U/μL for endpoint PCR workflows. Each kit ships with 4 tubes of 5X buffer (containing PCR enhancers and 15 mM MgCl₂); dNTPs are sold separately. The PR1000 family is Accuris's standard (non-hot-start) Taq — appropriate for routine endpoint PCR where the lab does not require antibody-mediated hot-start activation (for hot-start workflows, see the PR1000-HS family).

Pick PR1000-1000 when: the lab runs moderate-throughput endpoint PCR — typical academic-research lab consuming 1,000 units across a few weeks of project PCR, clinical-research lab running mid-volume diagnostic PCR, or teaching lab supporting a semester's worth of PCR coursework. Step up to PR1000-6000 for production-throughput; step down to PR1000-500 for occasional / pilot use.

Pick standard Taq (PR1000) for: routine, well-optimized endpoint PCR workflows where hot-start premium is not justified by the workflow's sensitivity requirements.
Per the Accuris reagent catalog, standard Taq DNA Polymerase applications include:
dNTPs sold separately. The PR1000 kit includes the polymerase + 5X buffer; dNTPs must be purchased separately (Accuris offers dNTP mixes — confirm preferred catalog SKU at order). Plan procurement to include both reagents.
5X buffer with 15 mM MgCl₂. The included buffer brings PCR reactions to 1X with 3 mM MgCl₂ at the standard buffer dilution. Workflows requiring different MgCl₂ concentrations may need supplemental MgCl₂ (separate reagent).
Storage. Standard PCR enzyme storage applies — confirm storage protocol at order (typically -20 °C; check current Accuris product insert for specifics).
Confirm at quote: workflow throughput (drives pack-size selection), hot-start vs standard preference, dNTP / supplemental reagent procurement, storage capacity, and lead time.
Warranty: Per Accuris standard reagent terms — confirm at quote. Reagent batch lot numbers and expiration dates are documented per ship.
