The OLEUM is a dedicated 4-place swing-out oil-testing centrifuge engineered for ASTM oil-test protocols (conical and pear-shaped oil test tubes); the Z600-OL-COM bundle ships with 4 buckets included by default. This SKU is the spare or replacement bucket — order when an original bucket is damaged, lost, or has reached service life. The 4-place rotor takes 4 buckets total; full-bucket-replacement requires 2 packs (4 buckets).

The OLEUM's 4-place swing-out rotor accommodates either ASTM conical oil test tubes (paired with the Z600-OL-CTC felt-cushion adapter) or ASTM pear-shaped oil test tubes (paired with the Z600-OL-PTC felt-cushion adapter). At 3,000 rpm / 2,213 × g, the chassis delivers the RCF range specified by ASTM oil-test protocols.

4-bucket symmetric loading is mandatory; the OLEUM rotor cannot run with fewer than 4 buckets installed.
Bucket lifetime considerations. OLEUM buckets see continuous workflow exposure to petroleum products and oil-test reagents; the manufacturer-recommended service interval includes bucket inspection for chemical degradation, seal-integrity wear, and physical damage. Full bucket replacement is appropriate when the original set has reached the recommended service interval.
Z600-OL-BUK ships as 2 buckets. Z600-OL-INS bottom inserts (also included by default in the Z600-OL-COM bundle) are sold separately for replacement.
Required for operation:
Confirm at quote: chassis pairing (Z600-OL OLEUM in inventory), replacement scope (2-bucket vs 4-bucket replacement), service-history rationale (damage, service interval, spare inventory), and lead time.
Warranty: 5-Year Hermle warranty (3 years full + 2 years drivetrain) on the buckets.
