The Yamato SDP-300 is a 47.2 L benchtop programmable vacuum drying oven — the entry model of the USA-built SDP300/310/400/410/610 series. A fully programmable EZ-ZONE Watlow controller runs multiple ramp-and-soak profiles, a digital vacuum gauge shows chamber vacuum level, and a tempered-glass viewing window with positive-latch, spring-loaded door allows continuous, sealed monitoring of samples. on a 115V supply, it is the right pick for programmable vacuum drying of heat-sensitive materials, method-driven solvent removal, and repeatable degassing where profile control matters.

Its 220V sister is SDP-310 (same 47.2 L chamber); step up to SDP-400/410 (127.4 L) or SDP-610 (264 L) for larger loads.

Application Profile

Programmable vacuum drying of heat-sensitive materials. Reduced-pressure operation lowers the boiling point of solvents and moisture so they evaporate well below atmospheric boiling points, drying degradation-prone organics, biologics, and polymers gently. The Watlow ramp-and-soak profiles let a validated drying method run unattended and repeatably.

Method-driven solvent removal. Multi-segment ramp/soak profiles remove residual solvents from powders, films, and reaction products on a defined thermal schedule rather than a single fixed setpoint.

Repeatable degassing and outgassing. Reduced pressure drives dissolved gases and volatiles out of resins, adhesives, and cast materials before curing or measurement, with the ±6.0 % midrange uniformity supporting consistent results across the shelf area.

Moisture-sensitive sample preparation. Bound and surface moisture is removed from hygroscopic reagents and materials samples before weighing, coating, or analysis, without oxidative exposure through the sealed, latched door.

Continuous monitored drying. The tempered-glass window and 0.1 °C-resolution digital display allow samples to be watched under vacuum throughout a run.

Design Architecture

The SDP-300 evacuates a 300-series stainless chamber (47.2 L) through a KF25 access port to as low as -29.9 inHg (-101 kPa), read on a digital vacuum gauge. An EZ-ZONE Watlow controller governs temperature from RT +10 °C to 220 °C at 0.1 °C display resolution, with ±6.0 % of setpoint midrange uniformity and stability tightening to ±0.1 °C at 80 °C. Because these are discrete ramp-and-soak profiles, a multi-step drying/degassing method runs automatically.

Door and seal. A positive-latch handle with spring-loaded glass maintains a good vacuum seal; the standard chamber gasket is silicone. The tempered-glass viewing window allows safe, continuous sample monitoring.

Thermal performance. From a 20 °C room the chamber reaches 80 °C in ~70 min, 150 °C in ~120 min, and 220 °C in ~200 min; it cools to 50 °C in 110/188/233 min from 80/150/220 °C respectively.

Chamber and shelving. The 304 × 508 × 304 mm interior offers 3 shelf-rest steps; each 287 × 483 mm shelf carries up to 15.8 kg, with a 47.6 kg maximum total load.

Safety. Built-in over-temperature protection and TUV-compliant construction. Never use in a flammable or explosive gas atmosphere, and never process explosive or flammable material. High-temperature components — observe burn-hazard cautions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What temperature and vacuum levels does the SDP-300 reach? It operates from RT +10 °C up to 220 °C and evacuates to as low as -29.9 inHg (-101 kPa), read on the digital vacuum gauge.

What voltage is the SDP-300, and is there a 220V version? The SDP-300 is the AC110–120V (10A, 50/60 Hz, with plug) configuration. The 220–240V sibling on the same 47.2 L chamber is the SDP-310.

Does the SDP-300 include a vacuum pump? No. It connects to an external pump through the KF25 access port. Yamato lists matched kits, including the GLD137 oil vacuum pump kit (115V) and the NEODRY15G2 dry-vacuum-pump kit — confirm pump selection at quote.

How many shelves does it hold and what is the load limit? Three shelves (2 tall, 1 short bottom) on 3 shelf-rest steps; each shelf carries up to 15.8 kg, with a 47.6 kg maximum total load.

Can I change the door gasket for aggressive solvents? Yes. Silicone is standard, with Buna-N, fluorosilicone, and Viton door gaskets available as options — match to your solvent and temperature exposure.

Ordering & Configuration

Included: 3 shelves (2 tall, 1 short bottom), 1 power cord, and 4 leveling feet.

Pair with a vacuum pump. The SDP-300 connects via KF25 to an external pump; Yamato lists matched kits including the GLD137 oil vacuum pump with rubber-hose kit (115V) and the NEODRY15G2 dry-vacuum-pump kit. Confirm pump selection at quote.

Confirm voltage and plug. The SDP-300 is the AC110–120V (10A) configuration; the SDP-310 is the 220–240V sibling on the same 47.2 L chamber. Confirm supply and receptacle at order.

Select gasket for your chemistry. Silicone is standard; Buna-N, fluorosilicone, and Viton door gaskets are available options — match to solvent/temperature exposure at quote.

Confirm application fit. Verify sample chemistry, target temperature/vacuum, batch size versus 47.2 L, and whether the 127.4 L SDP-400/410 or 264 L SDP-610 is the better capacity match.

Request a quote for pricing, vacuum-pump pairing, gasket selection, voltage/plug configuration, lead time, and warranty. Warranty per Yamato standard capital-equipment terms — confirm at quote.
