The B3000-RIN is the replacement sealing ring (gasket) for GL45 hybex bottle caps, 10 rings per pack at $18 ($1.77 per ring, the lowest-cost accessory in the hybex family). Sealing rings are the soft-elastomer component inside the cap that creates the airtight / liquid-tight seal between cap and bottle. They wear faster than the cap itself in high-cycle workflows. Repeated open / close cycles, autoclave-cycle thermal stress, and aggressive-chemistry exposure all degrade the elastomer over time, eventually compromising the bottle seal even though the cap body remains intact.

The sealing ring is the seal-critical component of the cap assembly. Cap bodies (PP or PBT) are durable engineering plastics that maintain mechanical integrity for many cycles, but the soft-elastomer sealing ring wears on a faster cycle:
