The Z496-1000-A225 is the 225 mL conical bottle insert for the Hermle Z496-1000-RBUK rectangular bucket — sold as a 2-pack. Engineered for conical-bottom centrifuge bottles in the 175–225 mL range (compatible with Hermle C0225 225 mL bottle and C0175 175 mL bottle), this insert holds the conical bottle securely at the correct centrifugation orientation for swing-out separation. Conical-bottom geometry is preferred for workflows where pellet recovery via aspiration to the conical tip matters (cell-culture pellets, fine-particulate sediment recovery).

Compatibility & Configuration

Insert pairing — Z496-1000-RBUK rectangular bucket only. Engineered to fit the rectangular-bucket envelope. Not compatible with round buckets or with bucket geometries on other Hermle chassis families.

Bottle pairing — C0225 (225 mL) or C0175 (175 mL). Both Hermle conical centrifuge bottles fit the same insert geometry; pick the bottle volume that matches your sample-volume profile.

Conical-bottom geometry advantage. Conical-bottom centrifuge bottles concentrate the pellet at the conical tip, easing pellet recovery via pipette aspiration after the spin. Round-bottom inserts (Z496-1000-A500, Z496-1000-A250) produce a wider pellet distribution against the round bottom — appropriate for some workflows but not for fine-pellet recovery where the conical tip-concentration matters.
