The Z206-1820 is the 18-position fixed-angle microtube rotor for the Hermle Z206-A compact universal centrifuge — the workhorse microtube rotor on the Z206-A chassis. At 6,000 rpm / 2,938 × g, the rotor delivers RCF appropriate for routine microtube workflows: cell pellet, bacterial cell harvest at low to moderate force, sample concentration, and aliquot prep at the bench scale that doesn't require the >15,000 × g range of dedicated high-speed microcentrifuges. Adapter library — smaller microtube formats. The standard C1008 adapter family (cross-compatible across multiple Hermle chassis families) supports 0.5 mL and 0.4 / 0.2 mL PCR formats within the 1.5 / 2.0 mL position.
