The C1008-A5-6 is a 0.5 mL microtube adapter that drops into the 1.5 / 2.0 mL microtube position on multiple Hermle high-speed microtube rotors, sold as a 6-pack. Cross-chassis compatibility: the same adapter geometry serves Z207-M, Z216-M, Z287-A, Z326, and Z366 family microtube rotors. Useful when 0.5 mL microtube workflows (Eppendorf-style smaller microtubes) need centrifugation on a standard 1.5 / 2.0 mL rotor.

0.5 mL microtube workflows on standard microtube rotors: when the workflow uses 0.5 mL Eppendorf-style microtubes (sub-microvolume DNA / RNA prep, small-volume aliquot prep, micro-protein workflows) and the lab's primary chassis is configured with a standard 1.5 / 2.0 mL microtube rotor.
Mixed-format runs. When some positions need 1.5 / 2.0 mL microtubes and others need 0.5 mL microtubes within the same cycle (with adapter symmetry preserved across paired positions).
