The Yamato 212572 is a 5-piece set of single ampule adapters for the Yamato DC401 freeze dryer manifold. Each adapter connects an ampule to a manifold port, letting a lab lyophilize small-volume samples directly in ampules that can then be flame-sealed under vacuum for long-term, sterile storage.

Ampule lyophilization is the format of choice when samples must be dried, then hermetically sealed under vacuum โ reference standards, biologicals, and long-shelf-life reagents where a flame-sealed glass ampule gives the best barrier against moisture and oxygen. The single ampule adapter attaches one ampule to a DC401 manifold port; a set of five equips several ports at once for parallel drying. After drying, the ampule can be sealed at the constriction while still under vacuum. Pre-freeze the sample below its eutectic point before drawing vacuum, and load ports in staggered fashion so the trap vacuum recovers.

How many come in a set? Five single adapters per set (212572). A double adapter version is available as 212573.
