The B3D5000-DIMP is the optional dimpled mat for the BenchWaver B3D5000 chassis — sold at $112. The dimpled mat converts the BenchWaver from a flat-mat (tray / membrane) workflow chassis to a dimpled-mat (tube-mixing) workflow chassis, extending the chassis utility to tube-mixing workflows (cell staining, sample-prep tube mixing, multi-tube content homogenization) at the BenchWaver's largest-platform 13.5"×13" scale.

The BenchWaver chassis ships with a flat mat (membrane / tray workflows). For facilities that also need tube-mixing workflows on the same chassis, the optional dimpled mat converts the chassis between workflow modes via single-mat-swap operation.
Pick the optional dimpled mat (B3D5000-DIMP) when:
Stay with the flat mat alone when only membrane / tray workflows are the routine — the dimpled mat is excess inventory if not needed.
Pick the dedicated B3D Nutating Shaker chassis (B3D1320 BioMixer or B3D2300 BenchRocker) for dedicated tube-mixing workflows at lower-platform-cost or with variable-speed control.

Mats are NOT cross-fitting across platform sizes — confirm chassis compatibility at order.
Pair with B3D5000 chassis. Critical: this mat is sized to the BenchWaver platform specifically — does not fit smaller B3D platforms.
Confirm tube-format compatibility. Confirm specific tube formats fit the dimpled mat dimples — typical formats include 1.5/2.0 mL Eppendorf, 15 mL conical, 50 mL conical.
Plan mat-storage protocol — when not in use, the alternate mat needs storage; confirm storage planning at order.
Confirm at quote: chassis pairing (specifically BenchWaver), tube-format compatibility, mat-storage plan, and lead time.
Warranty: Per Benchmark Scientific standard accessory terms.
