Stainless steel grinding balls are the standard bulk bead consumable for bead-mill homogenization workflows where the operator loads beads into sample plates / tubes / jars per workflow protocol. The 10 mm bead size is appropriate for tougher tissue / bulk-sample homogenization where smaller (4 mm or below) beads provide insufficient kinetic energy.
